We always think our results are directly proportional to the amount of work we put in. It does hold true in most aspects of life.

The more effort you put into your studies, the better your grades will be. If you work to fine-tune your athletic skills, you will be better at athletic endeavours. If you put in more time in practicing an instrument, you will be a better musician.

So, it only makes sense to think that you will get massive muscles if you spend extra time at the gym, right?

The answer is NO!

I can understand what you’re thinking….

“Are you sure? How can spending less time at the gym let me get massive muscles? ”

Yes! To understand how it works, you need to understand the muscle-building process.

Over years of human evolution, the body has learned to adapt to various conditions in order for our human specie to survive.

The body signals its discomfort when it is hungry or thirsty, it tans when exposed to excessive sunlight, it builds calluses to protect the skin, etc.

Do you know how your body responds when you break down your muscle tissue at the gym?

Right, you get massive muscles!

If you can make your body feel like you have posed a threat to its musculature, your muscles will respond. The body wants to protect you and since it recognizes this as something that could be harmful to you, it will respond by making the muscles increase in size (hypertrophy). If you increase your workload from week to week by increasing weight and reps, your body will keep adapting to the strain and in the process you will develop massive muscles.

How hard is that?

It is, but you have to bear in mind that your muscles will only get bigger and stronger if you give them enough time for complete recovery. Muscles cannot grow if they are not given enough time to recover.

You need to configure your workouts with the minimum amount of volume required to trigger an adaptive response that will help you get massive muscles. Once you have triggered your body’s natural adaptive response by training with a high level of intensity, get out of the gym and rest. Putting your body under more stress will only increase the time your muscles take to recover.

Most people workout too often and perform more sets than they need too in an attempt to get massive muscles. When you go for high intensity weight training, it is a lot harder on your body than you would think. You don’t want to create a workout program that hinders your gains and prevents you from achieving your goals.

If you want to get massive muscles, follow these 3 basic guidelines:.

1) Only train 3 days per week.

2) Your workouts should not exceed an hour.

3) You should stick to 5-7 sets for large muscle groups (thighs, chest, back) and 2-4 sets for small muscle groups (shoulders, triceps, biceps, abs, and calves).

Take your sets to concentric muscular failure and every week focus on progressing in either weight or reps. Do not do more than what’s recommended, if you are consistently giving your all every week, or it will negatively affect your gains.

There are three basic types of people….

1) Those who talk a lot of their ambition like gaining huge muscle mass, but don’t even try.

They never translates their ambition into action. They just spent a lot of time making excuses for all problems instead of actually facing up to them.

They made resolution years after years but are too lazy to start or lack the willpower to persist. These people love to resent and criticize successful people because they know that they can never achieve success on their own.

2) People who say they’re going to accomplish something big, like developing huge muscle mass, but quit after sometime.

They try new things, but don’t like to try too hard.

They’re not patient and do not have the will power to fight to the end. They always fall short, no matter how often they try and will not make it to the ranks of the elite.

In spite of their many attempts to be successful, they can’t achieve what they want because they simply lack the tools to do so.

3) Those who do what they say (like developing huge muscle mass), plan ahead, and then stick to their plans.

They make firm decisions that contain no hints of “maybe” or “try”. They only want success, so they will do whatever it takes to achieve it.

They are very confident that they will succeed at the moment they decide to accomplish something. They never doubt their ability to achieve their goals; the only thing that may change is how long it takes them to get there.

They understand that it’s all about the mind and that they already have all the tools necessary to accomplish what they want. They believe in themselves and know that they can achieve anything that they truly want.

Making excuses never exist. They are in complete control of their destiny and know that ultimately every individual is responsible for his or her own life.

They are ready to battle all setbacks, physical and mental pain, discomfort, and exhaustion to get where they want. After all, anything worth having should not come easy, and no one has ever achieved anything great without a struggle.

These are the folks who are willing to struggle in order to be outstanding.

Ultimately, they never fail in the long run. They are prepared to face any setbacks and carry on their struggle. When they hit a roadblock, they form a plan that will help them get past it.

They don’t quit. They love the battle and move forward from their mistakes. They keep moving ahead.

In the end, they are standing victoriously amongst the elite. Looking back, they can embrace their achievements and feel proud and satisfied. They earn the envy and respect of others and know that they deserve all this attention.

Do you know which category you come under?

True bodybuilding success only comes to those people in category three; the ones willing to fight for huge muscle mass.

You need to be ready for an ongoing battle—after all, when is the last time you saw someone develop huge muscle mass quickly? If you can’t dedicate yourself to a goal and work hard to achieve it, you will fail at bodybuilding.

So, if you have doubts about your ability to succeed, get rid of them.

Get rid of your questioning, fears, and wondering.

You need to decide what you want to achieve, then you need to create a plan to get you there, and finally, you need to push yourself to achieve your goals.

Ask “when can I reach my goal” rather than “will I ever reach my goal” and you are on the road to success in gaining huge muscle mass.

The decision is yours to make; I can only show you the way. This is a personal choice: no one else can make it for you.

Believe in yourself.

If your mind is made up, I can show you the path.
